British footballer-turned rapper, Takayo Nembhard stabbed to death at Notting Hill carnival

At the Notting Hill carnival, a British drill artist known as TKorStretch, who had previously played football, was fatally stabbed.

On Monday, August 29, at around 8:00 p.m., Takayo Nembhard, 21, was stabbed under the Westway flyover close to Ladbroke Grove station in front of a large crowd.

Despite additional attempts to resuscitate him, he received emergency care from police and paramedics at the scene before being transferred to the hospital.

The rapper, who went by the stage name TKorStretch, traveled from Bristol to take part in the annual event that attracted millions of people during the holiday weekend.

Police are now hunting the killers of a rapper and expectant father who was stabbed to death at the Notting Hill Carnival.


“This is the worst possible ending for a talented kid.”

On Twitter, he wrote: “Talent was endless, he was close to greatness! “With a heavy heart, I bring the news that TKorStretch passed away last night.

“My deepest condolences to TK’s family. He was a good kid, what happened breaks my heart.

“Rest in peace my friend.”

Mr Nembhard was a former youth team player at Bristol Rovers but had to quit football when he got a blood clot in his leg aged 16.


Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said on Tuesday: “I am sickened by this awful attack.
