Jandor: Sanwo-Olu Grew Lagos Debt From N542b To N797b Without Any Development

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran popularly called Jandor on Thursday stated there’s no justification for the N350 billion Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu desires to borrow.
The governor who offered a price range of N1.sixty nine trillion to the State House of Assembly for acclaim for the 2023 financial 12 months had found out that the kingdom will borrow N350 billion to fund the 2023 price range.
The governor disclosed that the price range is deficit and is to be financed through borrowing, that is pegged at N350 billion.
Currently, Lagos’ home debt as at June 2022, consistent with the Debt Management Office (DMO) stands at N797,305,312,602.53, whilst the overseas debt stands at 1.27 billion US Dollars (N555.828bn).
Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Jandor stated Sanwo-Olu is but to account for the N255 billion he borrowed with out not anything to expose for it.
“Has he ( Sanwo-Olu) accounted for the N255 billion borrowed through his management with not anything to expose for it? He grew our nearby debt from N542 billion in 2019 to N797 billion nowadays and not using a unmarried improvement to expose for it” he stated.
