Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Tops At 20.52%, Highest In 17 Years

In Aug 2022, Nigeria’s headline inflation rate was 20.52% on a year-on-year basis. This represents the highest inflation rate recorded since September 2005 (24.30%).
This is 3.51% higher compared to the rate recorded in Aug 2021 (17.01%) and 0.88% higher than July 2022 (19.64%).
