The President of the Fedearl Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will consider the request of Igbo leaders to free the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
President Buhari, While receiving some southeast leaders in the statehouse today November 19, said the call for the unconditional release of Kanu runs contrary to the doctrine of separation of powers between the Executive and Judiciary.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement titled ‘President Buhari to Igbo Leaders: your demand for Nnamdi Kanu’s release is heavy. I will consider it’.
