Ronaldo Set For Return To Former Club As Man Utd Receives Condition To Sell

According to the UK Independent, Sporting Lisbon have stated that they would be willing to sign Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer.

Ronaldo began his career with the Portuguese club before joining Manchester United in 2003.

His mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, has always wished to see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner return to the Estadio Jose Alvalade, even saying to him, “Son, before I die, I want to see you return to Sporting.”

Sporting are keen to re-sign Ronaldo, who is desperate to play Champions League football, and that dream could now become a reality.

They are believed to have contacted United and offered to take him off their hands if United terminated his lucrative contract, which would mean they would not receive a fee.

Having previously ruled out a sale during pre-season, the Red Devils are now debating whether to sell Ronaldo following his behavior during the first few weeks of the new season.
