Two Children Die In Lagos Building Collapse

Another building collapsed in Lagos on Sunday night, one month after the Oke Arin street, Ilupeju, Palm Grove incident.
Adeleye Street, Lady Lark, Bariga area of the state is where the affected building is located.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the news, adding that the agency’s cobra team is on its way to the scene.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, confirmed the development in a situation report made available to journalists.
“The Agency activated its response to the aforementioned incident, and upon arrival at the incident scene, discovered that the tank scaffolding of a two-story building had collapsed on a bungalow next to it, affecting two rooms.”
“Unfortunately, two children died as a result of the impact.” “Three adult males were injured and taken to nearby hospitals,” she said.
Gboyega Akosile, Mr Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, confirmed the development in an interview with Quest Times reporter.
“A bungalow on Adeleye Street was reported to have collapsed this evening.” It is the result of the collapse of a water gantry on Ayinke street, which fell on a bungalow property behind it on Adeleye street.
“Adeleye Street is located behind Ayinke Street. “There were casualties,” he said.
